Enjoy a delicious three course home cooked meal served in our covered courtyard surrounded by flowers and ferns. There is always a choice for meat lovers and for vegetarians. Please look at the sample menu to whet your appetite. Most of the fresh produce is home grown here at Mahana in our extensive spray free vegetable gardens. Other products are sourced locally where ever possible. Please note that we do not provide facilities for you to cook your own evening meal.

A continental breakfast with eggs is included in the room rate. The eggs come from our free range hens, fresh fruit from our garden when possible, home made muesli, toast and spreads and, of course, juice, tea and coffee.

We will also make you a packed lunch to take on your day’s adventure. Our lunches are designed for hungry walkers with sandwiches made from chunky home made bread, filled with ham and cheese and salad vegetables from our garden. Muffins and muesli bars are also home made.

Beer and Wine
We have a selection of beers and wines available, carefully chosen to showcase the diverse range available especially from Marlborough.

Corn and Basil Stack (vegetarian)
A mini stack of corn and basil pancakes served with a sweet chili sauce

Fresh Marlborough Mussels
Grilled in the half shell, drizzled with garlic butter and served with a slice of sour dough bread.

MAINS
Panfried Lamb Steak and Pine nuts
Sliced lamb steaks panfried with pine nuts and almonds, garnished with capsicum and served on brown rice

Chicken and Mushroom Pie
Tender chicken pieces cooked with mushrooms and wine and topped with crisp pastry. Served with gourmet potatoes

Roasted Vegetable Platter - (meat free option)
Fresh locally grown vegetables roasted with olive oil and rosemary, tossed with creamy brie and served with home made fig chutney.

Salad
All meals served with a fresh salad from our spray free garden.

DESSERT
Tangy Lemon Slice served with a boysenberry coulis and fresh cream.
